Ivory Coast international Simon Deli is reportedly leaving Slavia Prague
for FC Brugge next season.
According to press reports, the Belgian team will pay around 2.5 million euros for the 27-year-old defender.
Deli has twice won the championship title with Slavia Prague and the Czech Cup. He was also a regular player for his club in the Europa League quarter-finals this year.
Slavia Prague are crowned champions for 19th time with one round to go – coach Trpišovský says he’s relieved to have got over line; Plzeň boss Vrba says charges had successful season despite coming second; Czechs power on with fifth win in six games at hockey worlds; and Plíšková climbs to second in world with Rome triumph.
Slavia Prague took a major step toward winning the Czech football league by
beating their nearest rivals Viktoria Plzeň on Sunday evening. The Prague
side’s 3:1 victory leaves them five points ahead of Plzeň. All the
game’s goals came after the 80-minute mark.
The match was part of a new “superstructure” in which the top, middle and bottom groups of clubs at the end of the regular season face one another in a round robin system. Sunday’s game was regarded as the toughest test for Slavia, who finished first after 30 rounds.
