The Czech hockey team fell behind early in their third game of the Ice Hockey World Championship, with Sweden jumping to an early lead. Goalie Pavel Francouz, who got the start over Dominik Furch who shutout Russia at the start of the tournament, was beaten twice; the Czechs, however, were able to answer with four straight goals for the win. The Czechs have won three matches out of three so far (one in extra time, on penalty shots) meaning they have eight of a possible nine points and are in first place in Group A.
