Football: Rosický, Darida to miss Friday’s friendly against Canada

Czech national team captain Tomáš Rosický will miss Friday’s friendly game against Canada due to illness, the manager of the Czech side, Josef Pešice said on Monday. The 33-year-old Arsenal midfielder also missed a Premier League match on Sunday. Freiburg midfielder Vladimír Darida, meanwhile, suffered a muscle injury in a Europa League match last week, and is also out of the game. Manager Pečice instead selected Tomáš Hořava of Viktoria Pilsen and Josef Šural of Liberec who might get his first international cap in Friday's match.
