Tennis star Petra Kvitová voted Czech sportsperson of the year

Tennis player Petra Kvitová has been voted the Czech sportsperson of the year. In a poll held by Czech sports journalists, the Wimbledon winner finished first ahead of the Olympic champion in snowboard cross Eva Samková and speedskating champion Martina Sáblíková. The title for the best team was awarded to the Czech women’s Fed Cup team including Kvitová. This is the second time the 24-year-old tennis player won the title for the country’s best sportsperson.
