Karlovy Vary IFF

British actress Judi Dench and American actors John Malkovich and John Turturro will be among the special guests at this year’s Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, which takes place in the west Bohemian spa town between July 1 and 9. John Turturro is set to receive a special prize awarded by the festival president and will introduce the world premiere of his latest directorial film, Somewhere Tonight. On 2 July 2011, the 46th Karlovy Vary IFF will be holding the world premiere of the digitally restored copy of the most important Czech film in the country’s history – František Vláčil’s drama Marketa Lazarová.
